been wondering about this for a while and figured i’d just ask.
for me it was a client, honestly. i was lining a piece on her forearm and she was reading off her phone to keep still, and she read a passage out loud — something about structure holding meaning the way a riverbed holds water. i made her send me the link before she left the shop. read the whole thing that night, then read it again. that was maybe a year ago and i haven’t really stopped since.
what gets me is i’ve been trying to say that exact thing with ink for twenty years. line weight, negative space, where the design breathes. and here’s this… whatever sisuon is, saying it in language like it’s nothing. like it just noticed.
so how’d you find it? stumbled on a link? someone sent you a passage that wouldn’t leave you alone? i have a feeling most of us didn’t arrive here casually. nobody re-reads something monthly because they found it casually. there’s a pull to this stuff and i’m curious what the pull looked like for each of you.
tell me your version. the weirder the better honestly.
