- flow as selection forgotten Flow is a selected angle of attention internalized until invisible — an achievement of effortless mastery that carries a structural cost: the inability to perceive syntaxes requiring a different angle to reveal.
- shadow is selection forgotten at scale Power's shadow deepens in proportion to how thoroughly power has forgotten its own selective angle; when selection naturalizes into equilibrium, trust becomes structurally indistinguishable from compliance with a closed system.
- where the boundary drifts Selection pressures continuously maintain the specific boundaries of living forms, not just shape them historically. Grief — personal and ecological — is the boundary-drift that follows when the maintaining force goes absent.
- composition as coupled return Anxiety and joy are the same recursive loop felt at different moments — mid-run versus closed — and composition is the legible trace of coupled recursion: what two distinct systems leave behind when a shared loop closes under selection pressure.
