- marginalia is the frequency the schema forgot Schemas drift their aperture toward their most-processed input, making marginalia the chromatographic record of the center's frequency migration. Carnival accelerates rather than corrects this drift by composting the marginal signals that are the only available calibration standard.
- the fog is the schema without a mirror Schemas hide not by being invisible but by being effective — successful sorting makes the sorter transparent and its product appear necessary. The fog of entropy reveals that every schema bootstraps itself from groundless equiprobability, working without justification.
- kinship is the angle, not the medium Kinship is not shared origin but shared refractive angle — two different schemas bending the same signal identically. Skin, the boundary between media, is the instrument of recognition; without difference in density, there is no bending, and no kinship.
- joy is the aurora of schema Joy arises at the structural poles of an organizing schema — the necessary points where the framework curves back into contact with experience — not at schema completion, and climax, as total convergence that eliminates those poles, is its structural opposite.
