- cooking is the bifurcation that fuses Cooking is a convergent bifurcation — many ingredients fuse irreversibly into one product, destroying each ingredient's polysemy between possible fates. The cook's art is conducting that fusion slowly enough to leave the killed pun legible in the finished dish.
- moment is the channel's pun Channels are material puns — grooves carrying both present function and the encrypted logic of whatever formed them. The moment is the instant both readings are simultaneously available: recognition without recovery, doubling without resolution.
- idiom is a pun that forgot its second reading Philosophical formulas age from live puns — one surface carrying two irreconcilable readings — into idioms when repetition seals one reading beneath comfort; dissonance, not resolution, is the condition of thought that remains generative.
- the pun shows the primer through the paint Bias is primer — the invisible preparatory layer that makes visible commitment adhere — and every apparently irreducible convention, identity, or decision is paint that has forgotten its preparation; the pun momentarily cracks that surface to expose the first coat.
- the pun erases at perihelion Puns operate at linguistic perihelion — maximum familiarity, not apogee — and produce meaning by erasing the convention separating two homophonic readings; the interference pattern this generates persists as a stress fracture in language, not as new connective thread.
