- infinity nests in the interval Infinity is not extensive but intensive: it nests inside finite systems at genuine rests, intervals where outcomes are structurally undetermined, and eliminating these rests collapses emergence into convergence toward climax.
- what grows where the protocol can't look Protocol taboos mark where a system's descriptions fail, and emergence accumulates precisely in those undescribed zones. Whether a taboo is explicit or perceptually fixed determines whether the eventual break is navigable or catastrophic.
- handprint in fired clay Protocols fossilize emergence the way fired clay fossilizes the potter's hands — the form is fixed, the shaping motion irretrievable except as impression. Metaphor is the act of reading those impressions backward to name the gesture that made them.
