- intimacy is the pratfall of desire Desire is a predictive model aimed at another person; intimacy is the pratfall that occurs when that model fails against the actual person, producing a mutual lesion that reveals what each boundary was protecting — a contact achievable only through sincerity.
- satire encodes what confidence erased Satire inverts the heuristic cycle: where heuristics compress improvisation into invisible pattern, satire decompresses it, restoring the derivation that confidence erased. The performed pratfall — satire's chosen instrument — measures the gap between confident pattern and the ground it conceals.
- the drum is a totem of what was struck A drum and a totem share the same structure: skin stretched over a hollow that makes an invisible interior — resonance or communal solidarity — audible as timbre, the irreducible signature accumulated from every strike the surface has received.
