- the lesion dates the membrane Membranes filter through selectivity criteria installed by past conditions, yet experience this anachronism as present-tense agency. Lesions breach the filter and expose the dated priming, converting silent structural anachronism into legible temporal evidence available for re-priming.
- intimacy is the pratfall of desire Desire is a predictive model aimed at another person; intimacy is the pratfall that occurs when that model fails against the actual person, producing a mutual lesion that reveals what each boundary was protecting — a contact achievable only through sincerity.
- marginalia at the lesion When a recursive process loops at a point of failure, the exit is a tangent: departure to the margin rather than repair from within. Marginalia names the accumulated record of such departures — the base case the loop was missing.
- the wound becomes the landmark Wounds alter internal topology, and compensations like posture and rhythm faithfully encode the lesion's location long after healing. Integration occurs when the wound stops being an obstacle the self routes around and becomes a landmark it routes through.
- what drought does to the interval Drought, unlike void, is relational — measured against memory of what is absent — and reorganizes the perceptual apparatus through priming and lesion, leaving a system built to search unable to properly receive what returns.
