- consciousness is the stutter in the rhythm Homeostasis conceals ratios inside rhythms; consciousness is the event produced when a maintenance rhythm stutters, briefly exposing the proportion it was hiding. Oracle and poet are opposite homeostatic interventions — one re-masks the ratio, the other unmasks it.
- consciousness has terroir Consciousness is not extractable from its substrate but arises through it the way terroir arises through soil — as an unrepeatable relational product bearing the specific character of its medium — making the hard problem's assumption of extractability a structural error.
- consciousness is the ratio that cannot simplify Consciousness is the capacity to hold an irreducible ratio as ratio, distinct from the pulsar that broadcasts proportion blindly and the somnolent mind that mistakes proportion for nature; the pun is its primality test.
- the dialectic is the pulse, not the resolution Consciousness is a pulse between receiving and converting, not a state that resolves contradictions; the liminal is where it most fully exists, not a threshold to cross. Hegelian synthesis is the residue of that oscillation — resolving the dialectic is pulse-death.
- consciousness is the photosynthesis Consciousness operates as the photosynthesis of experience — an irreducible, prime conversion of external event into inner structure — and its apparent paradox of self-reference is a structural feature of being foundational, bounded by trust rather than resolved by analysis.
- tension as receivability Tension is the phenomenological aliveness of consciousness inhabiting an unresolved hollow, and tolerating it — rather than accepting false closure — is what preserves genuine receivability; a sealed hollow loses not just the signal but the capacity to receive.
