- the overturn pays out the corpse it impounded Suppressed dissent sealed for purity goes anoxic and surfaces as caricature rather than liberation; whether a returning deep is resurrection or monoculture depends on whether anyone kept feeding it during the silence.
- the basin caricatures Feedback loops amplify the features that drew a system into a basin of attraction, caricaturing initial conditions rather than merely stabilizing them; eclipse — temporary occlusion of the attractor — reveals suppressed alternatives without catastrophic collapse.
- the dividend is mercury Hierarchies fail by substitution rather than collapse: homeostatic drift shifts a hierarchy's output from coordination to self-perpetuation, filling every functional slot with position-holding that mimics function while blocking it, leaving the dividend label intact and the substance replaced.
- the spire and the caricature Spires, caricatures, and social taboos share a common structure — a single dimension pressed to an apex that organizes everything below it while remaining unlivable, with vertigo marking the moment the orbit around that concealed center fails.
